Holyoke, MA — Remote work options are here to stay, with many business leaders recently announcing an increase in hybrid options for their employees. The percentage of permanent remote workers is expected to double in 2021 according to an Enterprise Technology Research survey.

For some, home offices with distractions and unexpected noise are unrealistic. Venture X in Holyoke aims to make the workday more constructive.

There’s no question working in your own (private) office, you’re going to be so much more productive than working in your house being distracted by a pet, child or spouse,” said Venture X franchise owner Ned Barowsky.

Venture X is a complete business and networking center with 65 private offices to seat 211 people, plus conference room areas, 20 public workspaces, and larger offices that accommodate between two and ten employees. The second floor has an additional suite space for between seven and 50 employees.

“Once you’re in here you’re going to start meeting other professionals. It’s going to be great for networking,” Barowsky said.

Most coworking spaces are open-concept and don’t always offer the extensive amenities that Venture X does. Because the focus is on private offices, Barowsky feels it can offer something completely different. The Holyoke facility has a free coffee bar, secure Internet, print services, shredding machines and mail services. The community area is filled with natural light and comfortable seating for networking, small meetings or a change of scenery.

The building is light and spacious, with high ceilings and exposed duct work lending itself to an industrial style. Glass doors and walls can be frosted for privacy. Two larger office spaces on the second floor have ceiling skylights.

Barowsky said he added many features to the facility for the health and safety of members. The air filtration system recirculates air so that “almost pure air” is returned into the building. The bathrooms are completely touchless for sinks, soap and doors. The entire building utilizes a keyless system so there’s no worry about obtaining a key for an office that’s only being used for a few hours or a member losing a key. Entry is acquired through an app.

Venture X is one of the top franchises in the U.S., offering high quality business workspaces in 15 states and nine countries.

Barowsky recognized the growing need for something like Venture X in the Holyoke community. Simultaneously there was a vacancy in a property that he owns, with 16,000 usable square feet from retail stores that closed just before the pandemic.

“I started thinking, how many people during Covid are going to want five- to ten-year leases?” he said. Venture X terms are flexible, so members can pay monthly or annually for office space whether it’s as part of the community space, a dedicated desk or private office.

Virtual memberships are also an option for those who would only like to use the services on an occasional basis or simply want an address for business use.

Barowsky said Venture X is ideal for anyone, whether for a salesperson meeting an occasional client or for a large corporation seeking transitional space for several dozen employees.

The facility has currently filled fifteen percent of available space. Barowsky is promoting a 50 for 50 sale, giving the first 50 clients 50% off any office that’s reserved for six months to a year.

Stand Out Truck® makes it simple to pivot a marketing plan!

Once implemented, it’s usually difficult to change advertising. Stand Out Truck’s video billboard makes it simple.

The mobile truck’s digital screens can be adjusted for the number of slides and visible time, plus customers can change their message when the need arises.

You can continue to change your message. It makes it easy for someone like myself, using Stand Out Truck’s services.
— Ned Barowsky, Owner, Venture X Holyoke

Barowsky found the adaptability to be especially valuable when he came up with a new promotion while utilizing Stand Out Truck. He was publicizing his new business and networking center in Holyoke and decided to offer a “50 for 50” deal. The first 50 clients will receive 50% off any office that’s reserved for six months to a year.

He discussed the promotion with Stand Out Truck owner Mychal Connolly, who was quickly able to add a slide to the digital ad. Being able to pivot his original plan to add this new idea was an important option for Barowsky.

“When I first started out, did I think I would have that (promotion)?” Barowsky asked. “No.”

Barowsky opened the Holyoke location of Venture X in March, aiming to make the workday more productive for remote workers and small businesses. The business center features 65 private offices, conference rooms, 20 public workspaces and larger offices that accommodate between two and ten employees. The second floor has an additional suite space for between seven and 50 employees.

Because Barowsky’s potential customers are business professionals, he’s able to choose the times of day and location for the truck. His current plan is during rush hour traffic in seven different communities. Being able to make changes as needed is something he finds especially beneficial.

“You can continue to change your message,” he said. “It makes it easy for someone like myself, using Stand Out Truck’s services.”

Being able to discuss these kinds of ideas with others is a focus of VentureX that Barowsky is eager for others to experience.

“Once you’re in here you’re going to start meeting other professionals. It’s going to be great for networking,” Barowsky said.

A variety of memberships are available, whether as an individual entrepreneur or part of a large corporation seeking transitional space for several dozen employees. Terms are flexible, so members can pay monthly or annually for office space whether it’s as part of the community space, a dedicated desk or private office. Virtual memberships are also an option for those who would only like to use the services on an occasional basis or simply want an address for business use.
